On the shore of "Pastviny" lake, in a small and cozy park, lies this simple but effectively decorated "chata" (chalet), along with four other chatas. It is situated in a quiet area about 2 km from the tourist village of the same name. The park is located on the beach and has a jetty and a central campfire site. The lake is ideal for swimming, boating, surfing and fishing. At the jetty you'll find a common rowboat which you can use a few times free of charge, but in consultation with the tenants of the other chalets. The home has no garden but there is space to sit outside or play. There is a parking lot and a storage area for bicycles and suitcases. You can make use of the dining facilities located 100 meters away. There is also a playground, bicycle rental, swimming pool with jacuzzi, health service and a terrace with a grill. All of these facilities are at your disposal, although for some you will have to pay a small fee. In the vicinity you can find several accessible beaches and snack bars. The village is located 300 meters from the holiday park. Here you can find basic services such as shops for daily purchases, restaurants and a tourist information desk. In the city of Žamberk (10 km) there are health care centers, shopping and entertainment facilities and a modern outdoor pool with slides. An ideal holiday home for 6 persons and an excellent base for activities and excursions into the beautiful Eagle Mountains.

From this chalet you have a wonderful view of the surrounding environment. Because it is built against a slope, the entrance is located on the middle floor. The basement is not accessible so it is only used as a storage space. On the ground floor you'll find a living room which contains a sitting area, TV, radio, fireplace and a table with three chairs. From here there is a door which provides access to a sunny, furnished balcony. The simple kitchenette is equipped with an electric cooker, electric kettle and a fridge/freezer. The downstairs bedroom has a bunk bed and a closet. There is a bathroom with a shower and sink here as well. The toilet is in a separate room. From the living room there is a staircase to the upper floor where there are two bedrooms each furnished with two single beds. In one bedroom there is a wardrobe and in the other a chest of drawers complete with linen. There is a separate toilet and a bathroom with shower corner here as well. One of the bedrooms has a balcony. The chalet is heated.

For those who would like to enjoy an active holiday in a beautiful area, we recommend the Eagle Mountains instead of the Giant Mountains. This holiday park is situated on the shore of the Pastviny recreational lake, where various water sports such as sailing, canoeing and rowing are possible. In the area there are 11 outdoor and 7 indoor swimming pools. Marked fiets / mountain biking / hiking trails through the mountains are not far away. The conditions are excellent for mushroom picking, fishing and roller skiing (cross-country skiing on wheels). At the guesthouse across the street, you can use the facilities for tennis, volleyball and netball. Neighboring Žamberk is a nice town where the old "Kanec" beer is still tapped in mini-breweries. Here you will also find an outdoor pool with three toboggans, a whirlpool, swimming pool, child pool, tennis courts, miniature golf course and a restaurant. The local museum is devoted to the Eagle Mountains. Bus excursions are also possible from Žamberk. In the past, along the Orlice River, many mansions and castles were built which are now open to the public. These include Rychnov, Častolovice (a stylish complex), Doudleby (walls decorated with graffiti), Město nad Metují and the castles of Litice, Potštejn (restored ruins of a baroque castle) and Žampach. The magnificent baroque monastery of Králíky is also quite impressive. The main military museum of the Czech Republic / Slovakia plus a fortress with underground corridors and rooms can be visited in Bouda. The "Gate of the Earth" nature reserve is on Czech-Polish territory and is full of smuggler bridges, bandit caves and interesting rock formations. In Dolní Lipce (15 km) there is a border crossing to Poland. Just 55 km away lies the city of Hradec Králové.

Within a radius of 15 to 20 km there are larger and more well-known ski resorts. Around the house there is sufficient space to play in the snow. There is a parking lot and a storage area for suitcases and skis. You can make use of the dining facilities at the restaurant which is located 100 meters away. There is also a swimming pool, a jacuzzi and health service here. All these facilities are at your disposal, although for some you must pay a small additional fee. The Eagle Mountains are a popular winter destination for ski lovers. In the village there is a drag lift and a ski slope for beginners and recreational skiers, and in the vicinity you can find numerous well-maintained cross-country ski trails. There are several ski resorts in the area. Within a radius of 10 km there are 2 areas, up to 15 km there are 4, up to 20 there are 7 km and up to 25 km there are 11 ski resorts. At a number of resorts you will find multiple ski centers. Most centers are ideal for families with children, beginners and slightly advanced skiers. The nearest "meaningful" ski resort is České Petrovice (11 km) with 6 ski runs. Two of them are covered with artificial snow in order to make skiing possible under all conditions, sometimes even at night. The prices are very attractive. A 3-day pass for adults costs € ± 32 and for children 25 € (2007/2008). For the cross-country skiers, there are 2 km of well-prepared cross-country trails. Snowboarders have their own park and there is even a playground for children. The center has a ski and snowboard school, ski and snowboard rental, maintenance and a snack bar. Also, rental of snow tubes, sleds and helmets is possible. Each year in neighboring Klášterci the snowmobile championship is held. Other large ski resorts can be found in Čenkovice and Dolní Morava. Žamberk (10km) is a nice town where the old "Kanec" beer is still tapped in mini-breweries. For a day without skiing, there are 7 indoor swimming pools nearby. The large city of Hradec Králové with its shopping and entertainment facilities is 63 km away. Eating out at one of the good and inexpensive local restaurants is always a nice way to end an active day.
